"Capote" is directed by Bennett Miller. In 1959, a writer of affiliation to 'The_New_Yorker' called Truman Capote, found a tale of a consequentially meaningful murder, in Holcomb, Kansas. Inspired by an enterprising feeling, cause by this occurrence, Capote travels to that town in search of substantial material for an article. However, as Capote burrows himself deeper into this rich soil of a story, he becomes deleteriously obsessed with key portions of it and decides to convert the mag. article, into a full blown, brilliant, non-fiction novel... that would turn out to be the now infamous "In_Cold_Blood". This telling of Capote's story is more than the words above. This film recreates in a splendid form, the eccentricities of not only Truman himself but also of the 'world'.. that created "In_Cold_Blood". With a directorial job that rivals his elders, Miller has constructed greatness in the gloriously gritty direction of a worthy story. It all comes to completion by the fine tuning of all the intricate details. Yet, what catapults "Capote" to a higher throne is the brilliant mastery of Philip Seymour Hoffman. Finally, Hoffman shoves menial roles aside and performs as the lead.. in the greatest of ways. Did you end up enjoying the film, "Capote"?

I knew he would win the Oscar. This was another film that I had to see because of the Oscars. It was like he was channeling Truman. It was flawless performance.

I was very happy that he won. He does not rely on any flash, glam, or glimmer... he just lays it all out with delivered professionalism.

I agree, Hoffman was brilliant in the role. If anyone deserves a best actor Oscar then he does. I was spellbound for the entire film. There was such subtlety and effortlessness in his performance that I completely forgot who he was and how different he is in other roles. And kudos on a superbly written review there.

Thats what I love about Hoffman, his subtle intencity. Thats what shows true acting skills, when you can forget your own persona, and become what the character calls to be... and thats what we receive in this film. And thank you, for the complement about this review...
