child support--anyone else having problems like this???

Well, my sister is going through something similar. Her husband was having an affair and he tried to make her think she was insane when she confronted him. Finally, she got a confession out of the two of them, an left him. That was almost two ears ago. He has managed to evade court, drag out the process and has not paid a cent to support my nephew.

She mentioned when she filed her paperwork the her husband was bi polar and unstable.. which he is.. theres medical records backing it up. This made him mad, and he started saying she was crazy and other things that child services won't even tell her..mind you, she has my nephew and child services gives her no grief, they just help her against him.

So now, she has to wait until they both have a psychological assessment, which doesn't worry her, she's the most stable person I know..

I really hope they burn his butt with support payments. they were married, He was cheating.. this wasn't some one night stand, this is his wife and his child of the marriage..

He makes me sick!

Well don't hold your breath even after the assestment is made. I have had one in place since 1999 only to receive about $2,000 for four since then. I wish you lots of luck

Welcome to my world . . . my daughter will be 18 and my case will close soon and he owes me over $15,000. I am in Michigan and he is (last I knew) in Arkansas. You would not believe the red tape . . . at least you know where yours works, if he works for the government, you will receive you support. It might take awhile, but I have had my order since my daughter was 7 and I am sure yours won't take anywhere near that long, since knowing where he works is the ticket! Good Luck.

Madam, is the father still in the military? If so, you are entitled to his basic allowance for housing and other subsistance. What branch of service is he in. I am in federal law enforcement officer and also a U.S. Marine with a Military Police Company. All you really need to do is find out what unit this guy works in and give the Commanding Officer of his unit a phone call. This will start the ball rolling in your favor. They will make sure that this money is given to you without exception. If he is not in the military, he has committed a federal crime. Whoever told you that you had to file an interstate case is wrong. Call the U.S. Attorney's office in your state and tell them the situation- they love prosecuting cases like this. They will ask for his information including full name, date of birth, social security number if available, and any other information you can supply. Please take this advice seriously. Your childs future is at stake! Good luck!

I dont really have a problem with child support enforcement but i have a big problem with my ex!! He refuses to pay cs cause he says 200 a month is too much for 2 kids!! Ok i don't know what planet he is living on but it's not this one lol...

It's really difficult to get support from irresponsible fathers but anyway, the support is just delayed, it will soon be coming, and as you said it will be increased. Just be patient to wait. May God bless you.

I can definately say I deal with two stupid baby fathers. One has not paid child support for 5 years now and the other is going on 2 years. Child support has been no help to me at all. After all these years I don't worry about it. I try my best to take care of them all on my own. One day they will be grown and see how much I went through and will be able to help me. Also this will teach them how to be a good father, by doing the oposite of theirs.
