Sticker Shock? Why are Doctor Who,

the modern series', seasons so comparitively high when they first come out on DVD? Here in the midwest US, the only places to get them (or order them) start at US$100, that's more than double the seasons of other hour-long shows. Are they afraid sales will be THAT bad that they better get as much as they can out of each one? Or are they banking on the "fanatic" following to pay whatever they ask?

I could have sworn that by pre-ordering them on Amazon I saved a lot of money. I think I got them for 60. Otherwise, I think they cost so much because they are imports.

Get them used on Amazon. You'll save a bundle and with something that new they probably only watched it once or twice. I've bought tons of stuff on amazon and never had a poor quality issue.
