House with glass walkway over master bedroom...???

I am watching House Hunter's and they're showing a $1.5m new home on the beach. The home is all open with no upper cabinets in the kitchen "to reduce the clutter" (never mind that you see the wires and such for all the track lighting they have up there). I am with up until that point. There are no interior doors- on any room. And, there is a glass walkway that leads out to the outdoor terrace and is above the open master bedroom..."so when you are entertaining your guests can look over into the master bedroom..." WHAT??!? What on earth would I want that for? Exactly what kind of "entertaining" is she expecting them to do...?
