Happy March first everyone. Why happy? Well, as the old saying goes, "In like a lion, out like a lamb", and there's been roaring overnight! That is, it snowed and is windy out. That means, if all goes according to popular thought, there should be nice weather by the end of March. I can hardly wait!
Did you wake up to a lion or a lamb where you live?

The weather here is not listening to the saying! The wind is not blowing and it is suppose to be 70 degrees today! It is going to be so nice the kids will be able to play outside and I will be able to open up the windows and let some freshn ari in!

Wow! Seventy degrees in Nebraska already! How nice! Hope it doesn't get nasty again later. That would be really cruel.

Mmmmm.... 60° sounds lovely right now, where it's hovering around the freezing point here. Hopefully you don't get a nasty surprise at the end of the month.

It was definitely a lion that was wildly roaring here in my neck of the woods...And when I went out, I swear I needed weights to keep me down that's how windy it was. My block for some reason is always like a wind tunnel even when it's NOT windy...yeesh

Are there a lot of tall buildings where you live? That tends to create wind tunnels.

Yup--surrounded by tall buildings, while my apartment building is only three stories

Lamb. Was so excited about March 1st! You know that it will not be long now ! I live in Indiana and it has been one crazy winter here. We have delt with snow,ice, bitter cold then you turn around and dealing with sever stroms in Dec and Jan. But I think that it has been crazy all over the map. I will be so gald to be done with Snow,ice and bitter cold. SO a big hello to March.. With smile on my face.

It's quite nice out (here) now but we're supposed to get freezing rain overnight, then 7°C tomorrow (something like 54°F).

Well, I guess when you're used to 100 degrees or more in the summer, 80° would be cold. Most other places, though, 80° is hot.

Got about 8 inches of snow here....and it is still snowing although it is supposed to be done by noon. I am ready for spring it has been a very long winter. This is the third storm in the last week here, but at least fresh snow meltsfast when the sun comes out. The sun is high in the sky now and melts the snow very fast even if the temps don't go above freezing. I hope we see some sun tomorrow.

We have mounds of snow, I'd need a yardstick to measure it. It's partially sunny here now. It helps.
