what are the specs of your computer?  

really? not much of a techie, but i'll check that one out. but a 2.88 ghz processor is fast enough for me when it comes to playing the pc games being released nowadays.

which do you prefer, vista or xp? coz last year when vista came out, there were lots of articles on the net saying that its not advisable to upgrade to vista since there were alot of bugs,and it is incompatible with so many programs. and those who are planing to upgrade should wait until those bugs have been fixed.how about you,did vista cause you any trouble regarding your pc usage?

I think Vista is alright. I like XP better actually. It does seem to have a lot of defaults or whatever you want to call them. Like everytime I open a program it asks for permission and this and that. I figure ill use it til when and if it gets really bad then go back to the other if I have to many problems with it. So far I wouldnt say ive had excessive problems with it but just small errors a lot.

It's an add-on card that fits in the pci slot of your mainboard and allows you to listen to the fm radio or watch tv on your computer. It has also ports so you can connect a videocam or vcr to it.

seems that you have a fast enough processor. why dont you try buying the pirated windows version? although the original home xp, the last time i checked, is now priced at P4,000. the xp professional is at around 6-7k.

that was fast enough for you? well i cant install xp on my computer i know xp only runs in optimize 2ghz processor. lower than that leads to a disaster... i notice it.. when i saw my cousins computer her processor was 1.8ghz and the os was windows vista... even you put a giga bite ram it whont runs as fast as youve expected. thats why i used 98se to my computer... i will used xp when i have a new one...

well, i use a windows xp professional on a 1.66 ghz processor so i think thats fast enough coz 1.6 is the minimum speed of pentium 4/amd athlon processors. of course there are alot more faster ones, but for me, since it meets the requirements to be classified as pentium 4 processors, then its good enough for me, even though it restricts you from playing the more "specs-demanding" games. maybe you should upgrade your memory, video card and hard disk size so that it can run on xp.

i dont like to wait longer to boot up shout down my computer...

by the way, even if MIRC says that you have reached the end of your trial version, you can still use it! i use mine all the time. you dont ever have to register, you can still always use it.

oh i forgot to mention this to you again, i am going to use torrents again in downloading files, so if you wanna download tracks and you cant use limewire, try using www.utorrent.com and go to www.mininova.org and there you will find full album downloads easily, even need for speed songs, ive seen a couple entries there for need for speed.

no problem. btw, my brother bought NFS hot pursuit last year but i stll have yet to install it coz our cd drive wont open! grrr! is it a nice game? i only finished playing NFS most wanted when our cd drive was still working properly and i got to install it. LOL love the soundtrack of NFS most wanted too.

all nfs games is cool to play... i like at that game is the sound track and the cars... i love to see and used the lamborghini diablo 6.0 ehehehe kinda awesome to drive that peace of junk metal... in nfs most wanted well i like to play it too... if i see my favorite cars there...

yes i see nfs most wanted game when i visit a net cafe near our place... i sow somebody play it... the graphics are awesome and the map was so detailed... even the chrome of the cars... its like a mirror...

yeah i totally agree, those games starting from NFS underground 2 and older have less than impressive graphics, but hey, at least they are now improving right? we just have to equip our pc's with the right specs to enjoy them.

well, you can play them using ps 2 or even ps 1 if you have them. btw, i kinda liked those songs that you suggested from NFS hot pursuit. hehe. havent you noticed that the soundtracks from NFS soundtracks are from bands that are not that popular? but the music is good just the same.

but in nfs hot pursuit bush have a songs there too. title the people that we love. and the others well like you said not so popular as they seems... but on top of it all they sounds great... its just like you need for speed...

ah yeah, some are famous bands like disturbed and avenged sevenfold (at least in the US, here they arent mainstream) and they also feature rap artists such as chingy and terror squad in thier line-up. anyway, the music rocks either way. i liked the majority of the songs. they even have trance and house music on their line-up. paul van dyk and prodigy were also included.

gosh i never knew that NFS really that big i mean it really rocks your gameplay... i like the song of prodigy... some NFS ost that i dont like where the hip hop and those humpy bumpy music thing... i just dont like to hear it when i drive my nasty little old school getto car...

oh i like a couple of those hip-hop tracks from NSF most wanted.. i didnt get to finish NFS underground 2 but it has alot of hip-hop tracks too..

Excuse me for batting in, I just notice your specs 1.5ghz, mine is AMD but its effective speed is 1.54ghz and I'm running XP though I have enough RAM and video. I could see your hesitation for not using XP but why 98se when win2000 is better. I did use a classic P100 128MB EDO, 32PCI video and 40G hd before and I did see the performance boost when I upgrade it to w2000 from 98se.

its ok to jump in and tell what you see on my specs...

and yes i experience using both 2000 and xp as well but the thing is... both of them use a wapping 128mb of ram... so if your memory is about 128mb then the rest opened programs are running in vertual modes... that cost the cpu to overload... and one more thing about vista i just experience it to used it when i go to my cousins house... they have 1.8ghz cpu with 1gig ram and about 1 hard disk thats been partition into 3 drives... her computer was totally in heavy mode... it boots so slowly and and programs opens too slow too... thats why i concluded my analysis on it that you have to run a appropriate windows in what your pc specs... for example win xp to run it in good performance you have atlist about 2.0ghz cpu with atlist 256mb of ram not included if your a heavy loader person your must install about atlist 512mb on it... in vista your cpu must atlist 3.0ghz or more to run it with no slow ups... thats why until now i use 98se on my computer coz it has a low specs... i uninstall the xp and when it damagest my hard disk... untill then i used 98se all the way now...

Well it appears you don't want to compromise performance for a given specs, you tend to give a very high allowance. You must be a heavy loader to arrive at that requirements, but if it suit your needs then it perfectly make sense.

i was... im a gamer but the thing now... my computer cant process much of my needs coz it has a damage on it..
