Gas Prices!

I fill my tank up every Friday either during my lunch break or after work. I have been trying to limit my driving because of the price of gas so basically, I go to work, then home and maybe once a week, I run out and do an errand or two during lunch. So, I was pretty proud that I only used up a little over a quarter tank of gas this past week and expected to be pretty pleased with the little amount that I would have to pay when at the pump. Nope! A little over a quarter of a tank cost me $22.22 yesterday! Freaking Bush! God I can't wait till that guy is out of office!

Wow. How big is your gas tank? I just stopped Wednesday or Thursday and got quite a bit more and it costs about $30. Thankfully , my car uses regular gas. My hubby has to use premium (darn high performance car) and pays about $40 a tank, which gets him to and from work 4 1/2 times.

I have a 2002 Lancer. It has a 12 gallon tank, but I usually fit it up when the gas light comes on at 10 gallons or so. Gas was $2.99/gallon when I stopped. I only fill up about once a month. Honestly, even though premium is high, the cost is not too bad. Since his car is high performance and the majority of his drive is highway, he gets 26 MPG to and from work, drops down to about 22 MPG when we drive around when he is home. If he drive until the tank is dry he gets about 400 miles to the tank, which isn't bad.

I can never remember how big my gas tank is but, I drive a Honda Pilot which doesn't have that big of a tank. And, I also use regular. To heck with premium. No way! That is really good that you can fill yours with $30! What kind of car do you drive? I remember when I could fill my car up (I had a new beetle about 7 or so years ago) for $10. Granted, my cars have gotten a little bigger since then but, I am not driving around an explorer or a suburban her. It is just ridiculous now. It sucks!

I hear ya on the gas. Its just rediculas it costs that much. I cant do much because of it hardly anymore I cant afford it and living in the boonies I have to travel a ways just to shop eat etc. However, I think even with Bush out of the office the gas prices are still gonna be bad no matter who is in there.

Who knows! I guess we'll just have to see! I hope that the prices change for the better! Only time will tell! It is just so ridiculous! Ugh! If I could get where I need to be on my own feet or by riding a bike, that would be great. But, where I live, everything is farther away than I can walk, and they seem to have thing against sidewalks around here! I refuse to walk on the street because people drive like maniacs here! LOL!
