In the state of Tamilnadu, where mother tongue of the people, being Tamil, are now permitted by Honourable High Court,to sing devotional songs in Tamil. The language has been declared as a calssical language by Government of India. The Madras High court disposed a petition seeking permanent ban, against the orders of the Religious Department allowing people to sing devotional songs in Tamil, advised the directions of the state government in this matter. The Govt has endorsed the orders of it's Department. Have you heard of such a hostile treatment for a language of the land by a group of people living there for generations? Of Course the Tamil language is one of an oldest languages of the world which has a rich and varied literature as furnished in Chamber's English dictionary. My lot community all over the world to offer their comments.

Unless and untill every individual whose mother tongue is Tamil come forward and learn it and also make their kids and grandchildren learn it then the language will flourish. Instead of the government and highcourt putting orders on these matters it should be the people whose mother tongue is Tamil take things in hand and make the language grow.
