why is my rating going down???

I believe that the rating are based on how people rate you. So I imagine that the better comments that you contribute and the best responces you make, will aid you in getting a higher number on your star. But I think its a difficult concept, because if people end up disliking someone because they dissagree with their views, in essence they can just go ahead and downrate them.. wich I dont think is the correct thing to do. As long as people are decent and solid in comments, regardless of their views, they should receive high ratings.

Have you been overly disagreeable with someone or something. Have you been away from myLot for a while. I haven't been here long enough to know how you lose your rating. But, I would imagine that you said something somewhere that got you some negative ratings. If you disagree with someone about a post, just be careful to be diplomatic about it. Voice your opinion in a way that isn't threatening or viscious. And, I am not saying that you did the opposite of that anywhere. I am just making a guess. Otherwise, I don't know. Keep your chin up. Perhaps it is just a one time issue and, maybe it will go back up soon!

I don't think you get paid anything for getting a best response, but I think the earnings part might have something to do with your star rating. Nobody knows for sure how the earnings are made, but I know when I have a ten star I seems to make more money for the same amount of postings, than I do when I had a 9 star or 8 star. So I think it has something to do with it, but I could be wrong. Once your star goes down it is so hard to get it back up. It took me about 3 months to get mine up. I had a 10 star for about 2 months and then suddenly in one day it went down to a 8 star. Then it took me 3 months to get it back up again. I don't understand how it can drop down so far so fast. I asked mylot about it and they never gave me a very good explanation so I just don't worry about it anymore. I just continue posting and hope that it doesn't go down.
