Has anyone read this? Its by a woman named Betty Macdonald and her life on a chicken farm. By far the best book I have ever read!! It was written by in the early 1900's and made into a movie starring Fred MacMurray. She went on to write three more books about her life in the great depression, her fight with tuberculous, her life with two teenage daughters and her second husband.

I have never heard of The Egg and I. It sounds very interesting though. I am going to check and see if our library carries it. Thanks for the suggestion. I am always looking for new authors to try.
