As some of you know, my husband Grandmother died. He is not going to the funeral for various reasons. We said we would send flowers, his Dad said to send something small. I have been online looking to get an idea of what is out there. We can get something nice and small for about $39 + florist costs. I was going to send a plant, but his Dad lives out of state and would have to bring that back home with him. What kind of flowers should we send?
Here are some that I personally like:

I was also thinking, should we send maybe a fruit basket or different? I know when my grandmother died people did the traditional New Orleans bringing donuts. I thought that was really cool because a lot of people showed for the wake and sat around talking about her, eating their donuts, drinking their coffee. I believe it helped bring a sense of closure.
