What happens when a successful first film is turned into a trilology of lame,unh

Ok let me make my case first,THE MATRIX,great ground breaking,special effects,original story idea,a movie of our current computer age,great action,all the characters sexy,new,we got to know know them love them,i personally started looking for my trinity,etc....then once they took us into the real world well it got stuck in a mud for the other two episodes,no. two was good also but what the he.. happened in the last one?now PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN!the exact same problem except that unlike THE MATRIX 2,PIRATES 2 and 3 went no where,which kinda made me feel like the producers were stringing us along to capitalize on the success of the first one ,for profit purposes only!i think the only movie that didn;t let me down as far as this was concern were the 3 BOURNE movies so what do you think or would have liked to see more of in the MATRIX and THE LAST 2 PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN MOVIES?

I agree. The second and thrid Pirates of the caribbean movies were alright but NOTHING like the first one. Its kinda like the Scream movies. I think all 3 fit the plot tho. Matrix, no first one only. And then american pie. Those were all good to. Until it started on the 4th or 5th one. Then it got to be rediculas. The first 3 were good it kept the story going a bit. But usually the first movie is the best. And to make a second or even a thrid it better be damn good! lol

i found in the second pirates of the caribbean,first keira knightly went from ultra sexy in the first one to just one of the guys in the second and third,since they are the same movie just cut into two,she looked like a guy in those,and in part two we spend the whole movie looking for cpt jack sparrow,and in the second pretty much half of the movie it was cpt jack on a ship i fell asleep so i must admit i didn't see how he got rescued!i am falling asleep now just writing about it.
