i am having a combined 18th and 80th birthday party,need some suggestions

my daughter is turning 18 in august and my mum is turning 80 around the same time.i will probably have around 100 people attend the party.have you any catering ideas.i thought of a spit and salads.anyone have any decorating ideas also.any suggestions most welcome.cheers sue

A spit and salads sounds Good... Mybe get some of the geust to bring a plate of something to help....... Decorations- Balloons and some streamers...... A Birthday sign for 18th and a 80th - usually pretty easy to find them (seperate)Center table peices that can be easily made - visit a craft shop for items.... Do a search on the net for pics etc for some ideas....

At least your starting to plan now so as you will have time to organise and not have to leave it at the last minuet and have to rush, then be exhusted....

yes i have plenty of time to look around for decorations and will buy something each week.then by the time it is august it won't be as expensive.i will just have to pay for the food and drink.thnks.cheers sue

It will still be fairly cool down your way in august Sue, I would also have some veges done with spit.
The older people there would most likely need something hot.
As for decoration ideas I am hopeless.
I would porbably just hang some streamers and balloons.
Althought if outside I love those japanese paper lanterns.

i booked a hall so mostly it will be inside,that a good idea for some hot side dishes,yes the oldies love their veges.we have a few party shops around and i will get out and about and have a look for some decorating ideas.cheers sue
