We all work to earn a living and to improve the status of our lives. We try to do our best to impress our employers or our bosses so that we get an increase or promoted to a higher position. But sometimes, no matter how we try, we just couldn't attain our goals or better say that maybe our employers just don't like us. Was there an instance that you felt your employer is unfair to you?

In my experience as an employee, most of my employers have generally been fair to me. I was given the promotion I didn't even expect I would be given. I was challenged with new responsibilities that scared me in the beginning. But I learned a lot. The only time I felt an employer being unfair to me was in one incident during the time I was assigned to manage an outlet in one of the five star hotels in the country. The Bell captain at the concierge accused one of my staff for a conflicted booking that he was actually responsible for. As a manager, I defended my staff and we had a heated argument. As a result, my superiors decided to pull me out of that particular hotel and assigned me to a different outlet. In the beginning, I was really upset about it. It felt like my own superiors sided with the lousy bell captain. But eventually, I understood the situation. It's a business, and since our company was merely a subcontractor for the hotel, they had to keep the hotel happy at all times.

Yes, we also have to consider the other people involved in the incident. I guess, we should just try our best...and strive always to be the best at all times.
