body oil tops, or glycerine and rosewater

I use glycerine mixed with rose water and my skin feels smooth and silky. I am confused when body oil scores over glycerine, again and again in almost all the megazines and TV shows. My skin feels dry even after applying body oil, as I use soap everyday.
Which scores your beauty list? Do you go for body oil?

I just use "multani mitti" to facial on my face and that keeps me cool. And also for my eyes i use rose water. I dont use body oil.
