I tend to get a little bit of cabin fever before winter is over and I start to itch for my fishing rods. That first day out is like being released from prison. Well not that I have been released from prison but for winter keeps me inside so I feel like I am in prison. Usually my first trips out are for brook trout. My wife and I love a good feed of brook trout in the early season before the water warms up. I was introduced to fishing by a foster brother when I was eight and didn't think I had much to look forward to in life. He showed me that there is more to life than all that negative stuff we have to put up with in our daily lives. I took my son brook trout fishing when he was about 6 or 8 and we made it a lot of fun with more than just fishing. Kids tend to have short attention spans and making them fish too long can have lasing negative effect. What are your fishing experience?
