Kathy Griffin tells Jesus to "suck it"

I received the email earlier referring to this article. www.snopes.com/politics/religion/griffin.asp . I am wondering what you think of her remarks? What if she had referred to God and not specifically Jesus? Would you feel the same? What bothers me is the absolute derogatory disrespect to me as a believer and I think I would feel the same about such a comment made in this format regarding any religious figure, not just my own. What are your thoughts?

I'm not really sure who she is, but I feel really sorry for her. She obviously does not know the Lord and is on the path of destruction. The best thing we can do for her and anyone like her is to pray for them. They need it desperately! God bless! :)

Ok, I looked her up on the internet and I now know who she is. She is some kind of comedian? I don't know. I've just seen her on different things. Thanks Mare!

All I can say is that I don't wanna be standing anywhere near her come judgement day. That is absolutely ridiculous and appalling to me. Sure she has a right to say what she wants to say as an American, but she needs to understand who she is saying it to and about. Just because she spoke Jesus' name doesn't mean squat. She might as well have said God because they are the same. I would be terrified for my life if i ever said that about my Lord and Savior or even thought it. I am a Christian and just like that person said, i have a right as a Christian-American to voice my opinion on her statement. she needs to realize that everything she's been given can just as easily be taken away and she needs to pray for forgiveness and quick. thanks for posting and God bless

She said something like he doesn't care about stuff like a emmy or whatever it was, and that He had nothing to do with it. If she only knew- He cares about everything even the "silly" stuff. And I know He cares about what she said, no doubt about that. Thank you for responding.

I heard about this quite a while ago. I was and am offended by her words, and I think she does that to get more fame. If a person offends enough people, they will get a lot of recognition. And that is what she is after. She is a brilliantly talented comedianne, and I just wish she would rely on her natural talent to get people involved, not just how nasty and disrespectful she can get.

I agree that is exactly what she is after and I think it is just so sad. Thank you for responding.

I think it shows a huge disrespect for not only Jesus but those that do believe in Jesus. Personally I think she's a moron and I wouldn't watch anything to do with her anyways. The fact that she's proud of her statements makes it even worse. I hope that comment is thrown right back in her face on Judgement Day. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

To start with it shows deep disrepect to those that do thank God and Jesus for what they have. It also makes a mockery of ppl's religion. Reading the article about it I can't help but think that she did it as a huge publicity stunt. She says that she's thrilled that her words are in papers around the world...sounds like a publicity stunt to me. I think the award should be taken away from her, she should be fined and banned from appearing on any live shows. Obviously she has no control over her words or actions. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

It doesn't bother me that much. While the remark was bad, remember who its coming from. Kathy Griffin is below trash. No one cares what she's whining about now (at least I don't).

Thank you for responding. I enjoyed the little I did see of her (back in the early 90's??) but haven't seen her in forever and I really don't know anything about her. Don't like what I see right now, that is for sure. :( Thank you for responding.
