Are rechargable batteries worth the price?

I know rechargable batteries are expensive. i was wondering if getting them plus a charger were really worth it. I only use batteries really for my sons baby swing and his little toys.

I use rechargeable batteries all the time... I use it for my cell. phone, even... I have one of those portable charger that hooks to my cell. phone that takes 2 AA batteries... If I can't get to my car when I'm out, I use my portable charger... In many occasions, it has saved me... I use them for flash lights as well...
