Sunset in Oklahoma

Sunset from March 4 - I took this while driving west along Highway 51 between Tulsa and Stillwater, Oklahoma.

Sure, we don't have the best weather in the world, but we do have some pretty awesome sunrises and sunsets. How about you?

That's a beautiful picture of your sunset there. Sunset pictures are a blending of several colors. I had seen that kind of sunset somewhere in Canada last year, April, where the sunset was around 8pm. At what time is your sunset there? Compared here in our country, our sunset is around 5:45 to 6:15pm depending on the season. One of your respondents here showed a picture of a sunset here in our country. Sunrise and sunset views are really nice and spectacular.

Sunset is around 6:30pm, although I think Daylight Savings Time starts this weekend, so it'll change to 7:30, and then get later and later until the first day of summer.

I lived for several years in southwest oklahoma and during that time the esthetics of the land never did please me - but oh the sky! the sky was such a wonder - so big and expressive. not only the sun sets and rises but the storms... .wow! lightening would glow in the clouds and shoot from cloud to cloud, it was spectacular! just duck when a grapefruit sized hail ball comes crashing towards you!

My grandparents lived in Lawton, Oklahoma, which is in the southwest part of the state. It always seemed so barren down there. Watching storms come in over the nearby Wichita Mountains was an awesome sight.

sunset - sunset on my road in north Illinois

I have a small camera/digital recorder that I try to keep within reach when I'm driving. It was too dark to get a good picture, but a young deer darted across the road about a mile from my house this morning.

Sunset at the beach - This photo was taken at a beach in Pundakit, San Antonio Zambales here in the Philippines.
That's simply beautiful. Sometime last November, we went swimming at a beach out of town. My daughter took a beautiful picture of the sunset while they were relaxing at the beach. This is how the sunset looks here in the Philippines. Anyway, my fiance is from McAlester and his parents are really hoping we could come for a visit someday. They send me pictures every now and then of things that I may see or experience one day when we come to visit. Just 2 days ago I was awed by the picture he sent of their front and backyard... the snow was really thick!

Awwwww Niceeeeeeeeee Sweets we have the most beautiful scenry here in the Adirondack Mountains.. The wildlife and all the trees... You should be here in the fall.. It would knock your socks off... oxoxoxoxoxoxo

Usually, we don't have much to look at in the fall. In dry years, the leaves are usually blowing off the trees as they turn colors. In wet years, we might get some soggy days and then an ice storm to pull down the leaves and limbs.
