Can a strong immune system fight off allergies?

Does anyone know if there is a tie to a strong immune system fighting off an allergy attack to outside stimulants? The reason I ask is because I tend to start getting really sick from tree pollen in my area around this time and, either it is a late season or, the immune boosters that I am taking every day has helped me so much that I am also able to fight that stuff off too.

Sometimes taking medication to build up the immune system can result in too much so therefore the effect does not work as well. The body needs to try and fight these allergies alone and if that fails then help is needed. Being healthy and eating the right things (sometimes a certain food can also help) as have known that we can take to much and not allow our body to do what it should be.

I have had that problem with some antibiotics in the past. The immune builders that I am taking are all natural. I just started taking them after having been sick again this year for 3 months. What a difference they have made. I also eat pretty healthy. I am just naturally not very strong as far as my immune system goes. I never have been. It is a little bit hereditary as my mom has a really low immune system too. But, I am hoping that my immune boosters will help me.

I think the immune system starts building a resistance when people are very young, my mother used to always say the we kids were as healthy as we were because we played in gutters and as she would put it ate dirt....and on TV a few months ago a doctor said very much the same and also said how they were thinking of injecting babies with germs so to speak to boost their immune system....I think it is something you really have to start when very young...

Unfortunately for me, I didn't have allergies when I was young. I started getting them about 8 years ago. But, I do think that kids build their immunities by their environments. Look at how sterilized kids are today as far as air filters and all the rules doctors send new parents home with. Kids seem to suffer more allergies now than they did when I was young. My neighbor doesn't have a speck of dust anywhere in her house and, if her little girl comes over here, she suddenly starts welling up, getting sneezy and is an allergic mess. I am not filthy but, I don't have a maid like my friend does and, I don't have the time to get every nook and crany. I also don't have an air purifier. I just think that it is doing kids a little disservice by keeping everything so perfectly sterile. Cleanliness is good. OCD cleanliness is not helping kids build their own natural immunities.
