The sound of music and my favorite things  

My most treasured possession is my baby bracelet.
It has 2 joined hearts and my name engraved on it.
My second most treasured possession is a photo of my parents on their wedding day.
If I was only allowed to save 2 personal items from my house, those would be the 2 I would choose.

That was quite a challenging question. There is barely anything material that I would be very upset about losing. If the house fell down I'd be annoyed, but you could rebuild it. If my car gets totaled, I'll replace it. It's the same with material possessions. For me most of my really deep treasures are memories. Holding my daughter for the first time (which I did before her mother). My first day at school. My Grandmother who I adored. My wedding. Being with my Dad in France when I could afford to take him instead of the other way round. Being with my mother in law when she died. These are all very deeply etched memories. Possessions wise. My signet ring that my parents gave me when I was 21. My wedding ring. We had no money at all and I had just been turned down for a (further) loan. We saw the ring for £11! Between us we somehow found the cash. It's not been off my finger except to wash for 21 years. I have the family's entire old photograph collection which I am slowly turning into photo books. I'd hate to lose those. I am also tracing our family tree. I have a lot of documents that relate to family members long dead. None are irreplaceable but I wouldn't want to lose them. I have two original paintings by quite famous artists. I'd be sorry to lose them. Looks quite a lot when I read back. But I don't think that there is anything else.

My treasured things are my Nanas teaset which i keep next to her picture on a shelf, my special pictures of each family member, a cross that my son gave me at my wedding and the upcoming love of my special grandchild to be born. Oops and of course my wedding ring my husband gave me.

Good morning, my favorite would have to be my photos,I have tons of pictures dating back to when I was first old enough to start taking pictures everywhere I go I take my camera because you never know when it will be a good time for a picture,I took tons of my girls growing up and now I take tons of the grandkids sometime they are like not again grandma I just say one day you will want to see what you looked like when you was little and take my picture lol.I do remember the song you mention.Have a great day!
