My good friend, workid - some of you may have seen her around, she's not on mylot a whole whole lot but she does make an appearence in some of my discussions, shares her birthday with her daughter. Her and her daughters birthday just happens to be today.. I have answered another friends discussion about her son turning 5 today, so i'd like to take the oppertunity to say happy birthday to all!! Again the question is, Do you share your birthday with your child ? or with someone you know at least ? And do you have a party together or seperately?

I don't share my birthday with any relatives, but I do have a good friend who has two sons, born EXACTLY 10 yrs apart. Because of the age difference, they had separate parties for their friends, but for family celebrating, they do just the one event (usually a dinner out night).

My dad and my eldest sone share the same birthday, and my dad loves it. He was really chuft when the hospital phoned him on his birthday and told him he said it was the best birthday present he had ever had. We used to always do something together on that day, but my son is 16 now and so is at the age where he would rather do something with his friends and so we dont have days out now like we used to on his birthday, but it will always be special for the two of them.

That's nice, someday he will be out of the teenage sega of his life and he will want to be family oriented again and then they can share cake and presents again around the table ;)

Speaking about birthdays, I actually share mine with George Lucas! In case you are not a sci-fi fan, he is the creator of the Star Wars movie series. It was cutting edge technology in the late 70's when the first film came out! It is incredible how kids with computer can create the same effects at home. Neat how technology is change, eh?

Birthday or Anniversary Flowers - to be given to anybody
When my brother was married to his first wife, their daughter was born on their anniversary. They would celebrate it separately so their daughter would feel just as special.

My husband and daughters birthdays are close they are both in April he was born on the 19th and she was born on the 29th. She wasn't due until mid May but I guess she wanted a birthday the same day as her dad.

I don't have kids, and I don't share it with my parents. However, I share my birthday with two cousins. (Our birthdays are actually today, March 8th!)Two of us just turned 18(I'm older by 20 minutes) and the youngest just turned 5. I also share my birthday with a friend who just turned 21, another friend who also just turned 18.. And lastly My sister's bestfriend since they were like, 12, who just turned 34, I believe. :) So I share my birthday with a lot of family and two very close friends. which is exciting for me! :)
