Zune and Windows Media Player |
| |
| I was really disappointed when I got my Zune that I could not use Windows Media Player to sync my Zune. WMP will sync with other media playes (not the iPod of course), so why wont Microsoft let its software sync with its media player? Has anyone figured this out? Is there a way to do it? | | | | | |

| | Have you tried looking on the Microsoft website or MSN.com to see if there is any information regarding this? It might be helpful. I personally am very fond of my Apple products and would only get ipods or Mac computers from this point out, but for help you might want to search their site I am sure someone has asked this question before. Good luck! | | | | | | |

| | Yeah I have. I think they are taking the same position as Apple and forcing us to use their software. I guess that's the only way they can ensure we buy our music from their stores. | | | |

| | But apple's software syncs with it's ipod. I'm surprised that WMP wont sync with a Zune. Do they have specific software for the Zune that you are supposed to use? I think that's kind of crazy that you can't get it to work with it's own companys brand! | | | |

| | Well i didn't try Zune with Windows Media Player. As i have an ipod of MSI company. and also it does not allow me to synchronize any file or media with any windows media player. I have to manually copy paste and search all the songs i have. Keep posting and have a good day!!! | | | | | | |

| | Well I just download all my music off of a file sharing program (I personally use Lime Wire) Then I just have Zune set to search the folder where the music is. It's worked great for me, though it may be a bit tedious for you if you have to re-get songs you allready have just so you can put them on your Zune. What's nice about limewire though is that it will alert you if you are downloading something that has a virus on it, so you can delete it right away. www.limewire.com | | | | | | |

| | Thanks for the post fantasy. (Is that short for your nick?) I have never used Limewire because I was afraid of viruses. But I will try it now that you tell me it tells you when a song is infected. Welcome to myLot. (Oh and that's a great pic) | | | |

| | Heh, well a little unsure what you mean about the "nick" I'm assuming you mean nickname, which I don't really have one, 'cept for Nire from my Gaiaonline account. But let me clarify about limewire. It wont' say virus, it'll say the file is corrupt, and it will give you the option to delete it. It's been a while since I got a corrupted file, but it will let you delete it from limewire's library as well as your computer. So no damage done! | | | |

| | There is a way to use windows media player to sync you zune download a program called zsuite make sure you use the latest version. there is a tab at the top you click, then the screen will change and it has something that says service provider this means what program do you want to use to sync your zune and one of the choices is windows media player. i dont know why you want to use windows media player when the zune software is much better and has waaaayyy more options. but yea thats a way you can do it. also they are trying to move away from media player and more into media center (which is totally different) media player is more like the zune software. they also are pushing towards making the zune software the new media player, basically the media playr is outdated, and microsoft is going for something new as media player was never on of its strong suits at least not within the past 5 years. | | | | | | |
