Russell has given me permission to share something he wrote.
Even though I AM a people person who, also, hasn't totally written our President off, I think what he says makes a lot of sense.
I'd love to hear your take on some of the issues he's covered...
I am not a people person and this is why:
* There is too much ignorance.
* Some people are bitter as means to hide from their own problems.
* People exist through their computers and television sets.
* Different is looked upon as a bad thing.
* People don't stand up for what they believe in.
* People change to meet the demands of others.
* God is perceived only as existing through the religion of the viewer.
* Me! Me! Me! cries the people.
* The president of the greatest nation of the world is a loser, and the citizens don't care.
* Hypocrisy.
* People lack respect.
* People are jealous.
* Dogs are more compassionate than most people.
* People tend to talk behind people's backs.
* People are more willing to criticize than to help one another.

I totally agree with Russell...
Everything he says here is true...
To what extent that don't make you a people person depends in what environment you are.
The majority of the people are like what he describe... but not all the people... starting with me.

Thanks for responding.
Russell has lived in San Diego, CA for the past five years, and he will come across some very nice and helpful people there. But he also comes across cut-throat people as well--and it seems as if he only gets a handful of people interested in the cause of helping the approximate 2000-4000 children and teens who are without a roof over their heads.
On a good note, however, it does seem as if those who do decide to help our cause really get into it, and we'll have items and cash donated to us when we're least expecting it.
There has been more than one occasion when Russell has been moved to tears by the unexpected reaching out of others he witnesses.
There's still a lot to be done.
I've put together a website called Vision, Visibility, & Voice. It's meant to encourage interaction, and I hope that it will...
