Has Being A Christian Lost It's Excitement?

It's my belief, the reason so many newly born again christian's fall away and or, backslide, is there never truly taught how to get into his presence, to maintain any kind of intimacy, let alone, sustain the joy of there salvation. how i got there was a few simple scriptures i keep hidden in my heart.

#1. I will enter his gates with thanksgiving in my heart, and into his courts with praise.
Jesus prayed that we would be one in him, as he and his Father are one, so that our joy would remain. The joy of the lord is my strength.

#2. 1st Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

My walk with the lord has taught me, that thanksgiving from the heart is the gate way to him and all understanding. Reguardless of my circumestances, even if I don't understand or feel thankful at the time. I will often going, into his presence in a prayerfull attitude, say things like Father, Lord Jesus, Holy spirit, Thank you that I'm in one of those situations again, that I don't understand, or even I'm completely uncomfortable right now but, at least Thank you for the situation, because I now see all I have is you, to look to for the understanding that I need. Try a thankful spirit and attitude for your walk, and His Joy, and strength will sustain you the the walk of life.

You know I think a lot of it has to do with those who aren't "active" in their faith. You need to be around fellow believers to build each other up. You have to read your Bible, because how else are you going to learn God's word? You have to pray, because how else will you connect with God?

We are the ones who disconnect and try to go our own way. I have found that the times when I get "lukewarm" is the times when I have slacked on my prayer and worship and Bible study time. If we don't stay in the Word we lose the Word.

Of course we should be passionate about the Lord who created us, loves us and has redeemed us and who alone has the power to save us and take us to heaven to be with him. I have devoted myself to him and will never turn from him. How could I, he is my everything!

The reason is you are trying to live a pretence.
Most of the bible is full of symbology and cannot be lierally believed. All religion is divisive
