Enhanced fantasies and a desensitized mind

I was reading an article on another site that suggests that regular viewers of adult material have to up their fantasies as their minds become desensitized to the images that confront them. I think that there is much to be in agreement with here. Do you agree with this view, how does one combat it, does it matter? I have no doubt that there are other areas where this applies too. The US adult industry has apparently responded to this by making harder and harder material available for purchase. Do you feel that you are a hardened fantasist in need of new and harder inspiration, or have you successfully overcome this problem? If so, what was/is your strategy. General discussion is of course welcomed too.

I can honestly say I have never ever watched an adult film. I have made a couple but never watched one.
I think there is a lot to be agreed to in what the article you read said. And some of the harder material they put out so freaks can still get their jollies off I find quite disturbing.
My SO's niece stumble across the video titled "2 girls 1 cup" on the internet and was so sickened that she had to show her mom who in turn called her brother (my SO) and he just had to show me. I made it a whole 27 seconds before I had to leave the room.
If you venture on to goggle to find said video, please don't blame me if you are cleaning chunks of your dinner out of your keyboard.
