I have collected household hints for as long as I can remember, so I thought I would pass this one along to you fellow myLotters. I'm sure everyone knows how tarnished brass can get and how hard it can be to remove that tarnish. In the past I've always used a commercial brass cleaner, but the worsening of my skin condition has caused me to abandon most of the strong solutions that I have used. I had long been aware of the many wonderful uses for vinegar, but had to have my memory refreshed about using it to remove tarnish from brass. Other products listed as tarnish removers were: Tabasco sauce, Ketchup, tomato juice, lemon juice, lime juice, and, surprisingly, milk! Who knew? So, have you used any of these products to remove tarnish from brass, or silver?

I really like the glow of brass, vanities, and used to have many more items than I do now.

I have tried just about every type of brass cleaner and most home recipes. The best brass cleaner I have ever used is Brassmate. The home recipes just require so much elbow grease and I can't do it anymore. Thanks!
