Christmas now has lost its original meaning. Do you agree?  

I feel that christians created the whole birth of christ ritual, it is based as much or more on pagan beliefs than the christian ones. I am an athiest so I don't share the belief you do but I do feel is has become very commercialized............luckely I don't have a problem with it. I love to shop, travel to see friends and family, make gifts, bake with friends etc so it's all 100% enjoyable to me

Yes I agree, its all become very commercial and a way for people to make money. People have forgotten the very reason we celebrate Christmas. THey have forgotten that Christmas means the birth of the child Jesus who came to save us from all evil in this world. All it means for some people now is a time to give and receive gifts (mainly receive)

Let's make this Christmas as an evangelistic day..

I think it probably has in the sense that people get real stressed out with all the working, shopping, and cost of things around Christmas. Kids aren't happy with a small toy and a penny in their stocking, so it can be a real hard time for parents who want their kids to get cool toys. At the same time, when friends and family gather, I still think there is a special spirit around during the holidays.

It is a celebration of the greatest gift ever given to man. I think that's why we give each other gifts is to follow the example of someone who did this for us. But I would have to agree with you - it has been commercialized to the point of excess.
