Why do you like Ska?

thumbup I love ska it's such a feel good music. It's not as popular these days but you can still see Ska bands from the 80's and even earlier. shocked

I like Reggae as well but Ska is such an upbeat music, it's difficult to sit still to it and cheers me up.

Why do you like it? For dancing? Because it's fun or another reason?

Hi Foxy :)

Ska has been around for years and I love it for the beat and as you say, it is real feel good music.

In the 80's I remember the bands such as The Specials, Selector and Madness. Madness are back together again and tho obviously older, still great to listen to.

A recent Ska hit I dance to (well try to) is by The Dualers called 'Kiss on the Lips'

The Dualers are rather good any ska gets me bopping though I like 80's and the original late 50's stuff equally. Last.fm has a lot of ska on it and not just the well known stuff. I have been very fortunate to see Prince Buster not just once but twice.

You just can't be sad when you're listening to it. It's really upbeat. The only exception I can think of is Mad Caddies "Drinking for 11" and some of the bands have the silliest lyrics... thumbup
