An Illinois state trooper has been charged with two counts of reckless homicide and two counts of aggravated reckless driving for losing control of his police cruiser and crashing head-on into another car, resulting in the fiery deaths of two teenage sisters from Collinsville.
the trooper, was driving too fast and was engaged in "other activities" at the time of the crash on Nov. 23 of last year, according to a four-count grand jury indictment issued Friday.
What other activities? The states attorney wouldn't say what the "other activities" were. Two teen sisters killed. I thought police were supposed to protect. This is scary.

I can only speculate what those other activities would be, but without clarification we should always assume the worst. It should not be better for public officials to fail to disclose information. I would assume he had picked up a lady of ill repute and was having her persuade him not to take her into lockup.
I can't really imagine what one would be doing that would cause such an event to transpire. If he had been drinking, the victims could have told us. I guess, if there had been someone else in the cruiser, we would have heard about that, too.
Perhaps he was relieving stress without anyone else present while driving and lost control. That is a bit of a gross suggestion, but we aren't provided any details so I guess we have to invent our own answers.
