For some reason I personally think tht gc is getting a little expensive. It seems like it used to be cheaper years ago. I may be wrong, but you mine as well go to a red lobster lol.

I would take Golden Correl over Red Lobster any day. The food at Red Lobster is so gross! Being from New Orleans, it is almost sacrilegious to eat in a place that doesn't serve 100% fresh, caught that morning seafood. Not that Golden is much better. Why don't you try a place that is priced better and has better quality food?

Golden is not too bad. But I think that Red Lobster is good though. Maybe it was the red lobster that you attended. But I have basically had good quality seafood majority of the time.

I have only eaten at Golden a few times. There are none in the area Louisiana I live in. I have eaten at a few Red Lobsters and they were all gross. But I am spoiled I grew up on seafood that was 100% fresh, caught that same day. There is no comparison. I believe that if you are not use to fresh seafood, you think Red Lobster is great. To me, I can tell it is frozen seafood. Why would I choose that when there are 20 non-chain restaurants in a short drive from my home that have fresh seafood?

I still think it's a great deal. My husband and I go for a lunch and then don't usually eat dinner that day, just have a snack at some point in the evening.
We both can eat for under $14.00 and since it carries us over for another meal, it's a good deal. I couldn't cook a meal for under that, and I don't have to clean up!
Look at all the choices you have! Where else can you get that much variety and eat as much as you want. You'd have a had time buying the food and doing it yourself, in fact, I don't think it could be done, not with any amount of variety anyway.

Well you did make a point far as great deal more of a variety. But it seemed like it was cheaper back in the day. The food is really fattening though.
