Just wondering, the kids US Passports have expired since we moved, and contemplating a trip back to the US to visit spouses family and other family members. I can get either the EU one or the US one, trouble is last time, they questioned the kids right to enter back into Ireland through the UK. I was thinking of getting the EU one first, for the 4 of them, and then if funds allow renew the US ones through the embassy What do you think?

If you intend to stay in Ireland surely you need to get a EU passport. Why bother with a US one at all, unless you intend to return to the US for good.

I think having both is good, as it would offer the children a choice. Plus quicker lines at the airport!
