what is your favorite scene in braveheart?

Mine would have to be when he shows up & they say he's not William Wallace & he replies that if he were he'd be shooting lightning out his eyes & flames from his arsh. That's funny.

i think Mel Gibson has done a good one, when his spirit never give up. Like giving his life for freedom.

For me, the two battle scenes. It's more exciting than an NFL football skirmish. Many movies try to imitate the Braveheart battle scenes but the lack the power.

Yes, beautiful scene. But isn't easy to choice one scene as a favorite in this movie.

countless scene are worth recalling in this movie, say, when Mel was betrayed by the nobleman,even that guy felt guilty but had no choice the first time. and the happy scene when Scotish villagers are dancing and having competition of casting stones. such merry lasts very short cause the whole movie is under the grief.

Well true, the last scene is real sad..but an inspiring movie.

Braveheart is such an excellent movie and trying to pick one scene out of all of it isn't easy. There are so many good ones. The one you mention is one of my favorites as is the first battle where they moon the enemy. Another one I love is when he first shows back up in the village and has Hamish try to hit him with the large rock and he then throws the stone. I also like in the section you mentioned when the Princess told the King about how the line would end with him. Whether it was true or not didn't matter, it was the look on his face that was priceless.
