Yesterday I was watching Anne Frank in Historychannel

Anne Frank - So cruel.

There were breaks during her days in the concentration camp with commercial showing people gulping down ice creams,stupid lovers playing the violin and unruly youngsters racing their bikes aimlessly.It was so nauseating and out of tune with the program that was going on.What is your opinion about these irrelevant gross ads during a serious TV show.

there are so many always in the middle of Tv programs. we may be watching something serious. suddenly all these come and we feel really bad. They should atleast set times for those. But at the same time they are sponsoring to air.

It feels very annoying indeed! I get so engrossed that it takes time to adjust. Luckily being an adult we know where to stop and where to start but imagine the plight of a kid who would be made sit in front of the television for watching a 'nice' show and guess what, the adverts twirl their mind and concentration like anything!! In India this is a serious problem. PS: Anne Frank is of the greatest mind that I admire since childhood.

yes, I think, they better stop digging for ideas. why not settle for just a matter-of-fact rendition for a change!!

To avoid the commercials, you could perhaps switch the channel or mute the tv and do something else during the commercials. I can understand that it is disturbing during a movie like that, so let´s hope they show the commercials before of after the movie instead of in the middle.
