As I am British it would always have to be the Oxford. There are many editions from pocket size to the ultimate multi-volume version of the Oxford English Dictionary. It is recognised as the highest authority on words and their meanings in the English language within the U.K.

I also prefer Oxford over any other dictionary. I even had one but my brother borrowed it when he went to London. Now I can't even find a copy of the same reference book which he borrowed
Anyway, I even installed a Concise Oxford Dictionary (10th Edition) on our desktop as well as in our laptops

well, i have a oxford english-chinese dictionary. this one was bought 6 years ago. in fact, i think this dictionary is good enough for students like me. but the teachers in NEWORIENTAL school, a school teaching english and help students to study abroad, said oxford dictionary has a lot of mistakes. they recommend us to buy the WEBSTER'S dictionary because it's good for IELS examination and it also good for english learning students in china. but actually i don't know which one is better. maybe i will buy a webster's dictionary to study on day.
