Going to Disneyland!  | |  I am so excited! On April 23rd my husband and I are going to Disneyland together for the first time ever. I have been ever since I was about 2, but my husband has never, ever been! I think that's just wrong, lol! But honestly, I've heard loads of mixed feelings about Disneyland. People seem to either love it and can't wait to go again, or they really don't care for it. Having gone since I was just a wee lass meself, the place holds all kinds of memories and magic for me that I can't wait to share with the love of my life! I would love to take the kids, but they're still a little young to enjoy it, and since my husband and I never get out or have "dates" anymore, we're going just the two of us. It should be a blast! It's kind of a post-anniversary celebration, since we did not really celebrate our 4th Anniversary back in November.
So how do you feel about Disneyland and why? Do you like it? Hate it? What are your fondest memories? I love this place, so feel free to go nuts and act like a total geek, cuz I know I do every time I go!

| elainablack (21) | 5 months ago | You know, and just to be extra-technical-geeky here, I checked the events calendar on disney's website and that ride is going to be "closed for refurbishment" when we go. So..oh well. I told my husband that and he was like "What's 'it's a small world?'" Well duh. I just looked at him funny because I thought he would have at least heard of it, you know? Geez, I love that doofus so much! I'll check Space Mountain out for you though, it's been closed for years and was closed last time I went, so I'm really excited to see what they did with it.

| | | 2. shymurl (1522) | 5 months ago |  We went in 2004. It was my first time. I loved it. My kids loved it. To see the looks on their faces is absolutely priceless. Now we are going to have to go back in a couple of years, when the youngest gets old enough to remember. Even though I did love Disney, I really loved Universal Studios much more. My husband preferred it over Disney. To me its all fun. Congrats, take lots of pics, and let us know how it goes.

I think it will be awesome for us to just take a break and have some fun together, act like a couple of kids. I forewarned my husband that I do act like a big kid the whole time, but he seemed pretty okay with that. I hope I can get him to really enjoy himself.
