It is an historic speech that has been said a few times during his career when he spoke of his desire for the future where blacks and whites aning others would co-exist harmoniously as equals. King's delivery of the speech on Aug 28, 1963 from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial was a defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement. It was delievered to over 2000 civil rights supporters. The speech is considered to be one of the greatest and most notable speeches in history.
