Do you have a fire or carbon dioxide detectors in your home?

I keep telling myself that I am going to buy these, but often forget. Then I see reports that kids that are in a deep sleep never hear them! Then there is an alarm being studied that if the mom's voice is put into the alarm they wake up. I know my boys wouldn't hear the alarms because they don't even hear the clock buzzing to get up and goto school. I know that I must get these, even if it is just to wake me up. What are your thoughts and do you have them in your home.
