One can call it astronomy blues or plain lack of general knowledge, but a majority of children in Britain cannot even identify the moon in the night sky. One in three primary school children also think Sir Winston Churchill, the UK Prime Minister during the Second World War, was the first man to walk on the moon, according to a survey. The four- to 10-year-olds confused Churchill with the American astronaut Neil Armstrong. According to the survey made by Daily mail between 1,400 children, between ages of 4 to 10 years, revealed that nearly three-quarters of them cannot even identify the moon in the night sky,One-third of the respondents believe earth is not an official planet. Two-thirds of children could not even name the eight planets in the solar system.
