Sleeping with WET hair.

I dont think that sleeping with wet hair results in eye blindness but it is really dangerous in the sense that it can be the reason for never lasting cold. I also take a shower before going to sleep and I do sleep with wet hair, I know it's not good but it has become a habit, bad habit.

All i can logically guess as a result from sleeping with wet hair is that due to cooling you down, it could get you a cold or something, never heard of the eye blindness thing, im guessing its just an urban myth, as i cant see any way how it could make you blind.

It is not true whether it damages eye sight. i think i get cold if I sleep with wet hair. so i avoid doing this.i also do not know the symptoms./

i don't know about it, i am hearing this first time that wet hair is causing is blindness. u know that uasually i washed my hair at night after finishing all the work. if wet hair is causing to blindness so i think be blind till. but my eye sight is very good, i can see things clearely. if its happen really, so i don't know. But for this will consult to my doctor soo. thank for.............

Blindness???!! No, sleeping with your hair wet can make you catch a cold, but not blinding you...

I dont think its possible to get blind by just sleeping with wet hair atleast not in direct case for the direct consequences one may get flu or cough due to coldness and it is connected with your vein systems to all body and eyes are part of it so it might be possible that one of the vein gets twitched because of the infection that could end up loosing or disturbing the eye sight but it will be an indirect effect not the direct one... :D

my grandma used to tell me dont sleep with your wet hair... if i fall asleep with wet hair she will wake me up!!! and she will tell me this lines... "DO YOU REALLY WANT TO BE BLIND?!!!" before i used to believed that it can cause blindness oh well i was so young that time... but now... i dont... i may have headache sometimes when i sleep with wet hair but i dont think it can cause blindness... coz if it does then ill should be blind long ago... godbless!

I can see no obvious connection between wet hair and eyesight. I have, once or twice, fallen asleep after washing my hair. I hate to do it because it makes my hair dry oddly and I will not look good when I wake up.

hi ciades, hmmm, its not true sleeping with wet hair cannot cause blindness...^_^ its no logic for it, people called it wife's tell or myth same people also say that when we sleep with wet hair it will cause flu. its also another lie. the way to catch flu is tru viral infection... ^_^ and to be blind possible reasons are, (eye diseases, by birth or genetics, staring at the sun, accidents). so dont worry when you sleep with wet hairs, probably you will get a messy hair when you woke up the next day, but it can easily be solved by rewetting your hair again and re-style... hehe

i tried to sleep when my hair is wet and the result is, ive got a cold and head ache. thats why i ddnt do it again.
