Very shortly I shall tip over into what is going to be the second half of my life. The past week or so I have been in a very nostalgic mood and have been reflecting on what has been good and not so good. But one thing stands out for me from my childhood. Long warm summers spent outdoors, usually accompanied by picnics. Is there something good from your childhood that you remember with affection.

When I was about three years old, my mom took me with her to the market because my dad was in the office even on weekends to make ends meet. My mom had to let me go but told that I should just stay so close to her or else I will get lost as weekends are usually the time when people flock the market to buy foods. Being born in a couple who were still starting to get a life together, me and my older brother were a bit deprived, so when I saw some big, red apples, I went to the stall to at least touch it. Needless to say, I got lost and was about to cry so hard when my mom hurriedly went to carry me. It was a moment I can never forget for the feeling I had after being found was extremely tremendous! I shall never forget how tight my mom hugged me that moment!

What a relief for you. I bet that when you look at apples you recall that story. Losing you mother on shopping expeditions is something that I can relate to. I lost mine in a shop once and found myself holding a strange lady's hand whilst we went hunting for her. I am pleased to report that she was still there!
