Classic Video Games

I still play them even though new shinier games are out. The classics will always be fun, plus a few moderate remakes are great too.

Still play them even up to now in emulators mostly in my mobile phone

I know there are already more advanced games out there but, I have always considered that without the old ones that we use to play, these new ones that the new generation of gamers are going to play wouldn't be around in the first place

Not only do I remember, I still own them. I've been playing Mario Kart 64 lately, trying to complete mirror mode. Goldeneye 007-I need to play this game again. I think I've only beaten it on the easiest difficulty. I've got over 50 Virtual Console games for Wii and my collection of Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64 games is immense. Actually, I have less Nintendo 64 games than Nintendo and Super Nintendo, so I'd like to balance that out. I know it sounds silly. I just picked up Turok 3 and Paperboy 64 for Nintendo 64, as well as Snake Rattle N' Roll for NES the other day. I won't stop playing the classics anytime soon!

Nintendo 64 stuff... classic? Seems a bit of a stretch to me but yeah I play some of them once in a while. Just as I still play psx games. They're not that old in my opinion. Classic video games, my opinion of course, are games like Zork.

Zork, for those who don't know, is the precursor to the MUD which was the precursor to adventure games which were probably a precursor to fps, if in style only. You wandered around an absurdly large world that was described only in text (making it far far too simple to get lost) and had to find things to open doors, fight trolls... and make sure you didn't do something silly like east the clove of garlic you'd need in a few hours to ward off the vampire bat so you could get the little statue from the room that connects to the slide. There were multiple installments but the first installments still the best. Now, make sure you keep your lamp on, lest you get eaten by a lurking grue.;p

There was a game called Rip Off; two player and both players got to play on the screen at the same time on the same team.

The goal was to keep the bad guys from stealing these little triangles (fuel cells, maybe?) If you shot the bad guys they would die and the fuel cell would be safe, until another thief rushed in to take it.

You could cover each others backs so it was a fun game to play!

The graphics were primitive; as I recall it was a black screen, with each player being triangles, the fuel cells being a smaller triangle size and the thieves being a different size triangle.

Shooting, strategy and teamwork! Now that was a game.

Now I don't get time to play any but sure would love to if I have spare time.

golden eye was awesome. im still playing a bunch of my gameboy games like kirby and zelda. one of the coolest games is mario paint just because of the mouse it comes with.
