Being fully initiated into the CATHOLIC CHURCH |
|
On Saturday, April 15, 2006, the night before Easter, during the Easter Vigil, I was fully initiated into the Catholic Church. I have accepted Jesus as Savior. That helps a lot. It shows that there is great love and peace. I got baptized, confirmed, and finally first communion in the Church. In order for all that to happen, I went through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, which took several months. Included Rite of Acceptance, Sending, the Elect, and so much more. I feel really great about it. I always pray a lot that Christ in the Spirit is always present in our hearts. And we are His Body, the Church. Always learn about the faith. We should confess and admit our sins once in a great while. We need to be loving, helping, and forgiving at all costs. So I will always ask HIM to help us and the whole world.

1. rjscott (1750) | 4 months ago | I wish you well, Jake. I was a "good Catholic" for many years until I was the REAL light, Jesus. The Catholic Church, as an institution, is a FARCE! Good luck with your BINGO games, your raffles that provide alcohol to alcoholics, your PRIESTS (many of whom just adore young altar boys) and the collection plate, which serves nothing more than to enrich the coffers of a church that is rich beyone belief! Memo to self: The best decision you made, RJ, was to LEAVE the Catholic Church. (C) 2008 RJScott

Jakesnake1978 (1156) | 4 months ago | Well, I understand what you are saying. But to me I believe the Catholic religion will help guide me into all happiness and teach me to do good. I understand that each of you have different beliefs. I will never hold that against you at all. I forgive you. To me, I would not leave the church at all. I always believe in Christ, who is always present in our hearts. He is present in HIS Church.

Jakesnake1978 (1156) | 4 months ago | I agree that we are the Church, the Body of Christ. Not just a physical church. Yes. We do confess and admit our faults. Yeah the Lord always want us to love and forgive. And importantly we repent. Just remember, God loves us all always. He through HIS Son, Jesus, sends HIS Spirit to our hearts.

Jakesnake1978 (1156) | 4 months ago | Thanks. I have always had Jesus as Savior. I always enjoy the services of the Catholic Church. I do remember the angels and saints. I do remember the sacraments and recitations, especially the Rosary. Each of us will go to Mass whenever we can. I pray a lot, too. There is still always a lot to learn. So learn through the Holy Spirit about love and peace.

Jakesnake1978 (1156) | 4 months ago | Yeah. Thanks. I always think of God a lot. We know that we are the CHURCH, the Body of Christ; the Temple. God always know what we need. I always think of the Catholic Church, in Christ, through the Holy Spirit, through my heart. I always pray a lot. Especially for all my family. We know that we ask for help from God, especially healing. It is always great that we accepted our Savior, Jesus. HE is always present in our hearts, especially through the Church. We always do well through our faith.

My only adivise and or pray you that you "read your bible deligently, everyday" and always pray to God with all your heart that He open up the doors of words in your heart.
