What is your favourite song and why?  

I love "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" as well...and when I was a kid always watched Wizard Of OZ...it wasn't until much later in life that I really "got" the meaning of the movie at least...so often wet think that somewhere "out there" is the source of our happiness instead of where we are right now..Dorothy in effect, went on what Joseph Campbell called the "hero quest" going through trials and often in "danger"...all hero quests involves a growing, an understanding of the psyche...when Dorothy comes back to Kansas, she realizes that her real happiness was right where she was...home..But yes we all yearn for that happiness or peace, sometimes not realizing it is often within right where one is
another song that gets to me, and for some reason has me crying like a baby..."When you wish upon A Star"--I even cry at the end of Close Encounters of The Third Kind..as it plays that when the main character is being taken into the mother ship of the aliens...yeesh

My favourite song is "what will i do".It has no special meaning.This was the first foreign music that i had heared.This song is not wery popular,but i just like it."Somewhere over the Rainbow" is a good music,and i like too.I had heared this music performed by a lovely girl.I think she acted perfectly.

I have a few favourite songs. One of them is Mr Jones by Counting Crows. The main reason is it reminds me of the good times I used to have partying with my best friend, we used to request that song heaps when we went out and danced to it. Those were the good old days. At the moment I love the new song Bleeding Love by Leona Lewis, for two reasons as I love to belt out the tunes and sing also I can relate to the song.

I love many songs,but my favourite song is "Born to touch your feelings" by Scorpions.This song is very soft and nice and aways make me feel better.

My favorite song is Stay the Same by Joey McIntyre.He is a former member of the group New Kids on the Block. The song is believing in what you can do and keeping your faith alive. I listen to that song everytime I am down and I don't feel good about myself. It reminds me that I am a unique person and special in my own way. This song would really boost your confidence and spirit. Here is an excerpt of the lyrics for those who do not know it :

Hi Litleowl, your choice is such a beautiful song. I enjoy many songs but I think my all time favourite is 'Vincent' by Don McClean. The song was written about Vincent Van Gogh, the lyrics are beautiful but sad also as it is about how he suffered for his sanity and how he took his own life because people couldn't understand his creativity. Mine is Bob Seger - Still the Same. It has a lot of sentimentality for me. My son-in-law bought the record - he had every one up to that point that Bob Seger had recorded. The day he bought it he playe it for me. He played it again as I was leaving my daughters house. I could hear it as I drove away. The next day my son-in -law was killed in a tragic accident. That was August 1978 and when I hear the song today it still brings tears to my eyes.
