Colorado Rockies  | |  Ive always been a huge Rockies fan. That best playoff stretch in history they pulled off last season pretty much made my whole year. However, it was pretty lucky (but thats part of baseball). I want to kno what all you baseball fans out there think about the Rockies this 2008 season. Be honest please. Do you think they can pull off another appearance in the world series. Do you think they will win their league? Be in the wild card race once again? Or just totaly suck? i am asking this because ive talked to a few people at work and they both think the rockies will end up in 3rd place in league. I disagree=D. Please let me kno what you think.

| | 2.  fpd1955 (1282) | 10 months ago |  After ny Cubs were out of it, I was rooting for the Rockies. It will be tough for them to repeat this year, as all the teams have made steps to improve. Whether they made the right steps and they don't have a lot of injuries remains to be seen. Dodgers made one big step in getting Torre as thier manager. He gets great production out of his players. The West has always been a tight divison. The Rockies have a lot of young talent and they truly have fun when they play the game. Of course, when a team is winning, it's always fun!
Luck, or lack of it, does play a big part in winning or losing. Remember "The Fan' that supposedly interfered with Moises Alou catching (or not catching)a foul ball in 2003 for the Cubs? I don't really think Moises would have caught the ball anyway, and we were still up 3-1, so I don't blame the fan. It was just dumb luck that the Marlins were still alive in the inning. It wasn't dumb luck that Dusty Baker put in a relief pitcher that was a "headcase" and couldn't do his job. 5 outs to go, a trip to the World Series is on the line, you have to put in your closer that had 47 saves! Dusty was more to blame for the Cubs debacle than "The Fan"!!
Good luck to your team, but until they are out of it, I will root, root, root for The Cubbies!! If they don't win, it's a shame.........

| Batistabomb227 (21) | 10 months ago |  I say no way, i don't even see them in the playoffs. They played horrible against the Red Sox, just goes to show how weak the NL can be, although it should be better this year. I say the Mets come out of their to be in the world series.
