Yesterday it was finally warm enough to go outside. So I decided to take the lizards out to get some much needed real sunlight. This is Pistons first time out since last summer. This was Mosers first time out ever. Her other owners didnt even take her out of her tank let alone out side. Well they both loved it. They walked around and ate grass. Neither one tried to run away. They just stayed in the yard and enjoyed the sun. Do you take your lizards outside? If so do they stay in the yard or do they try to run? Here is a picture of them. Wow... how sweet of you to think of taking them out in the yard. I would never have even thought about letting them loose like that. Are they easy to catch hold of to put them back in their tank, or do you take the tank out and lay it on its side, or something? I would imagine they thoroughly enjoyed their time in the sunshine, nibbling at the grass and being free to roam. Brightest Blessings.

Well thanx. I think they were thinking the same thing. No there not hard to catch. I have been around them long enough to know what there going to do by there actions. I hand raised Piston from 1 month old and I have only had Moser a few months but shes a big chicken. LOL! There tanks are to huge to carry around. I just get them out put them on my shoulder and take them out to the yard. Thank you for your response! ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

i think that it is very good that you took pistons outside yesterday because i have had a lizard before and they are fun and they aren't easy to take care of because they seem to need heat a good bit or their body gets cold...i mena i had to have the heat rock plugged up all of the time and have the lights on him/her and it wwas a really stressful thing but you sound like you are having a lot more fun iwth yours though.. jhl930

Lizards do need alot of heat to keep there body at the right temp. I use a basking light. Its a light bulb that gives off heat. I dont use heat rocks as they can get to hot and burn the lizard. Thank you for your response! ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper
