Carseats | | I have a 5 year old daughter that is 38 lbs. We have an older car that only has lapbelts. Besides the $300 Britax carseats that go up to 65 lbs. does anyone have any other ideas as to keeping her safe. I wouldn't mind spending the money on keeping her safe in a britax if it wasn't a convertable thats already had the top ripped to steal stuff from the car. any ideas would be appreciated.

Both of these are under $50. They have them at Target. And are to be used with the shoulder and lap belt. That should keep her safe.We use the big kid with the back. And our daughter weighs about the same.

Evenflo and Graco carseats work with lap only belts and they aren't too pricy! Good luck finding one, most stores will let you use the display model to see how it fits in your car before you buy it. (They're supposed to anyway)
