How To Eat Pecan Pie?

Pecan pie in the hand for me. It saves dishes as well. I love eating pecan pie right out of the pie pan into my hand. It's easier for me as well and does not cause a mess as often. If I am eating whipped topping on it though, I will use a fork and plate.

As far as manners go, it may be bad manners but it's good food. I would say as long as he doesn't do it while you are entertaining guests all should be fine. I find that we are more relaxed in our home environment than when dining out or having guests over to eat.

i feel strangely comforted reading that i am not the only one who has eaten a piece of pie with no cutlery or plate! i thought i was just weird or lazy to do the dishes;)

i see that it is sorta rude, but i would not do it unless i was home alone, eating the pie without any onlookers;)

and this is not just for pecan pie. i think it could be any pie that isn't gooey, mushy or runny. as long as the crust holds in the 'guts':)

I personally feel that a pie should be eaten on a plate with a spoon than a fork, but talking about manners I am not good at it though too... heh heh...
