This is for men or women. How long are you in a relationship before you know that it is serious?

There is no serious timepoint. It's completely different for every couple. Some may be serious from the beginning, some may never become serious. And you know when you talk about it and decide to be serious. You HAVE to communicate and decide these things together. They don't just "happen", you have to agree on them and make them happen.

I should hope so since we're getting married in less than two months lol. We were serious when we first started seeing each other four and a half years ago. We got engaged two years ago.

I guess it all depends on how your relationship starts out. Sometimes in the beginning, you both don't feel so committed with each other, but eventually become really close and attached to one another. Then you know it's serious. Sometimes it's serious right from the start.

Thank you very much for your response, but it was kind of vague. Yeah, but how do you know it is serious?

I was with my husband for 2 years then got engaged for 3 1/2 years then got married. I knew it was serious when he proposed. So, I'd have to say about 2 years to know it's very serious.

Wow, 2 years then another 3 1/2 years that kinda seems like a long time to me, but i guess it must have worked for you two. Glad to see that you finally got your man.
