This afternoon at nearly 45 years old I had to go to school this afternoon with a group of four year olds. I was supposed to make a guitar out of a cereal box and a drum out of a roses tin. I succeeded in making a marracca out of a bottle filled with rice but the guitar collasped on me once I put the strings (rubber bands) on LOL so I improvised and used the round tin as the base for a bango covered a Jaffa Cake box with paper and stuck to it. Pulled elastic bands over and had a wooden spoon as a a drum stick. The teachers we wll impressed LOL and took a phot of me making it for the school book. I even got a star! Whooohay. What strange items have you made, whether it be a carpentry project, school stuff for the kids of something creative that went wrong and turned out to become somthing else. Please share. I had such a wonderful time. I suppose I should start growing up really, but PVA glue, pritt stick, tissue paper and an hour out of the house doing something different appealed. Ellie :D

LOL As long as the food tates good though, who cares, my kids call some of my dishes mums mish mash! but never a morsel left on the plate. Being able to write is so wonderfully creative. You are a very talented lady. You write with a pen or type with your hands so that covers it eh! Ellie :D

And didn't it make you smile.....doing that will make you happy for the rest of the day. I taught preschool for 14 years and I absolutely loved it. I would tell people its not every day that you can get up, go to work, and color, sing, play with play dough, dress a doll, run and pretend that life is all about the hokie pokie. I started watching movies the kids would talk about, tune into to their tv shows so I knew what it was about. I found myself in the toy department alot checking out toys and I saw joy in life. Its a magickal time

Oh it did make me smile. I play with moonsand and playdough and paints at home at lot too but tend not too create too many musical instruments! I find myself singing songs like Hey Hey its a beautiful day come along and play with the Tweenies and wonder why I get strange looks at times, he he,. They grow up too quick don't they. Being four years old is a very magical time and lucky you, you got to share that for 14 years. Thanks for sharing. Ellie :D
